Dear Joseph and Lucia,
I’m very glad it’s Friday. I get to go home and see Michèle tonight. This weekend promises to be a busy one. We have to finalize all our plans and prepare for the trip next week. Since we are flying out from different cities, we’ll both need to make sure we have everything we need by Sunday afternoon.
I’ve mentioned before I think you guys would like Michèle a lot. She got a degree in hospitality in Europe and works for hotels planning conferences and meetings. She’s very good at what she does. It’s funny when we share our workdays with each other. Neither of us really understands the inner workings of the other’s job, but we both listen as we unload and wind down.
I’m writing software these days. I haven’t designed a circuit board in years. I’m afraid I’ve fallen so far behind current technology, I’ll likely never return back to it. All my efforts are spent writing control systems in LabVIEW and data handling in Excel VBA. It sounds pretty nerdy. But I get to wear t-shirts and jeans to work. (Michèle has to wear a suit. ick) I wish I could have shared more computer knowledge with you while you were younger.
Well, I should get back to work. As always, I miss you both very much. Be kind to others and respectful.
Love,
Dad
