Dear Joseph and Lucia,
Michèle and I had a fun-filled weekend. I drove down late Friday night so I could be in town for the show we attended Saturday afternoon. I got us tickets for the Rocky Horror Show. This wasn’t the movie, but the original stage performance as it was from 1975. It was fantastic. The actors all had fantastic voices. The theatre was configured for “in-the-round”. Our seats actually ended up on the stage and the show was all around us. It was almost overwhelming on what to watch. There were some major adult themes, but it was all handled with humor. The band was actually part of the cast and would frequently walk around us while performing with wireless connections. In all it was much better than I was expecting. I would like to go back and see it again before it closes next month.
We spent Sunday afternoon at a pool party with Michèle’s coworkers. They all brought their children. There were kids from 4 to 18 all going nuts in the pool. It was nice to get to put faces to all the names I hear from Michèle. The food was great as you could probably expect from a bunch of chefs and catering managers.
On my drive back to Oklahoma, I was treated to a fantastic sunset. That’s the photo that’s at the top of this letter. I thought of you guys a lot over the weekend. I’m not sure if you would have enjoyed the play as much as I did, but I’m sure you would have had a blast at the pool party.
Well, I have to get some work done. Just remember, I’m always here waiting to hear from you. Be good to your mother.
Love,
Dad
