02-04-2015 Your Step-Mum

Dear Joseph and Lucia,

Happy at homeI know I’ve told you about your new mum (Michèle) before.  This week has given me further proof how lucky I am to have her in my life.

We talk every morning at 7:45. We keep in touch throughout the day via text and Facebook.  During the weekends, we spend as much time as we can together. I value the times I can serve her breakfast in bed.

She’s recently become active in Parental Alienation and has attended a few meetings in the local area. She misses you both having never met you.

You have a Mum that loves you unconditionally. I can’t wait for you to get a chance to meet her. I know you will love her. She has a beautiful soul and a loving heart.

Again, I’m so lucky to have her in my life.

I’ll be waiting to introduce you guys to her.

Love,
Dad

I’m happy for you that you have found someone to love and are content. Just a word of caution to take or leave as you see fit- from the perspective of the alienated child- I do recall holding it against my mother a bit when she talked about her latest relationship. I thought the focus should be on us reconnecting and the parent-child relationship that had been severed and needed attention. When she talked about her boyfriend, I felt it meant that was more important to her than reconnecting w/ me was. Your children may or may not be happy for you that you have found love, but most likely they are not particularly interested in your new partner at this point- at all. Now every situation is a bit different, and your kids may not read your blog until they are older, so perhaps my viewpoint is meaningless right now..Just my thoughts based on my past feelings.

I keep track of who’s reading my blog. I seriously doubt the kids are reading it currently. These are tokens for the future. I’m just wanting to let them know I never stopped loving them. Their mother is against using the internet, so it will take one of them to rebel and search on their own. By the time they get that far… who knows what will happen.
